UTAH CONCEALED FIREARMS COURSE

Our Utah Concealed Firearm Permit course satisfies the firearms-familiarity training requirement established by the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. This approximately four-hour, in-person course covers firearm safety, handgun operation, safe loading and unloading, storage, concealed-carry methods, Utah firearms laws, use of force, interaction with law enforcement, restricted locations and suicide prevention. Students will complete hands-on exercises using inert blue training firearms; live-fire range training is not required. Upon successful completion, your Utah BCI-certified instructor will sign and stamp the certification section of your permit application. Utah permits are valid for five years and may provide additional carry recognition while traveling; however, recognition laws can change, and permit holders must follow the laws of every jurisdiction they enter.
